Summer is not complete without a few drinks that are full of flavor. It can be fruity, punchy, or just simple and refreshing!
Orange blossom cocktail is an aromatic drink that pairs beautifully with barbequed meat or other spicy food.
Orange water blossom is, as the name suggests, water distilled with the essence of orange flowers. Flowers from bitter oranges are used so delicious oranges are not touched in making this. Just like rose water, it is mainly used in Mediterranean desserts and Middle Eastern dishes. Orange blossom water has a pleasantly bitter flavor, much like chewing on an orange peel. It tastes like the bright, sunny orange groves and wild flowers drenched in rain. So use it in small quantities to get a hint of it.
This cocktail is full of all the sweet, tart, and tangy flavors you love in citrus fruits. Keep it kid-friendly with club soda or seltzer.
- 1 drops of orange blossom water
- 1/2 cup of ice cold water
- 1/2 cup of club soda
- 1 tbsp sugar syrup
- Optional gin/vodka for adults
- ice to top
- few watermelon balls
- mint leaves for garnish
- Take ice cold water in a glass and add two drops of orange blossom water. (The one I had was pretty strong.)
- Stir in sugar syrup and add club soda.
- Top it with ice cubes and watermelon balls.
- Add gin/vodka and take it to the next level.
This is to make a single glass of this cocktail. Make as much as you need by increasing the ingredients.
It is refreshing and delicious! You may need a refill or twenty if you are going to get thirsty on a hot day! I make a big pitcher of it without alcohol and sip it instead of plain water. A sip of this when flipping burgers or relaxing outdoors during hot months is a thing to remember.
Enjoy this low calorie summer cocktail with family on a weekend, during parties or while hanging out with a friend.
Gorgeous, love those watermelon balls, and I will definitely be adding gin to my mixture :). It looks so cooling and refreshing. Where do you get the orange blossom water from?

Orange blossom water is available in most stores. I got mine from Canadian superstore. It is very strong and if you add more it is bitter and not very pleasant! I am planning to use it in all other dishes because I have a big bottle of it!

Looks so so refreshing. I just discovered the pleasures of Orange Blossom Water this past week and am in love with it. Mind you, I have had the bottle for over 6 months. 🙂
This is one drink I am going to try ASAP; what with Amchi Mumbai broiling us alive at 40C and 60% humidity.

I had a melon baller hiding in my drawer for quite some time…putting that to use! This drink is very refreshing!
I heard there are few flamingos in Florida too! But nothing can beat the pink clouds near lakes in East Africa! I feel nostalgic now!
